Get your running shoes out - Cross Country is this Friday!

When: Friday 23rd April, 12:50 – 3:05pm
Where: James Nash SHS
What to bring: Sun safe clothing/hat - wide brimmed preferable/sunscreen/ Water
Wear: School Uniform – House colours can be worn from lunchtime onwards
Meeting point: Meet at the MPS at the end of second break – 12:45
The Cross Country course will be laid out within the school grounds and on footpaths skirting the block, the school sits on. As part of the course students will move along footpaths on Cartwright Road, Myall Street, Strachan Crescent and Alenola Street. There will be no running on or crossing of roads. The entire course will be supervised by teachers for the duration of the Cross Country.
All students are expected to be in full attendance at school and participate in our Cross Country Carnival, even if they are only walking the course. The distance of the course is less than 4km and can be easily walked in under 50 minutes. If your student is unable to participate, can you please communicate this with a note outlining the reason in their school diary. Our philosophy is that every day counts. School carnivals are an integral part of a broader educational experience and contribute to building school pride. There will be no alternative program held at school in the afternoon, on this day. Staff will have a commercial brand of sunscreen available and will be supplying this to students throughout the afternoon.
We are looking forward to a great afternoon with all our students at the James Nash Cross Country Carnival participating in the event and enjoying the great team spirit of our school. Points will be awarded to the House Cup Competition and results will be used to finalise the James Nash team for the Cooloola district carnival after the holidays.
Please watch our Facebook page and website for any changes in relation to wet weather.
