Important: NAPLAN 2021 information
NAPLAN is an annual assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It tests the types of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. The tests cover skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy. NAPLAN tests give you information on how your child is progressing against national standards. This information can be used to identify areas in which your child may benefit from additional assistance. NAPLAN does not replace, but rather complements assessments run by your child's classroom teacher throughout the year. The assessments are undertaken every year in the second full week in May. Due to the Gympie Show holiday being held on Friday 14th May, the catch-up testing day will be rescheduled for Monday 17th May, 2021.
