​​​​​​Inspiring Confidence, Creativity and Innovation in Junior Secondary Students

At James Nash State High School, the Go For Gold program is designed to ignite confidence and creativity in Year 7 and 8 students through dynamic, project-based learning experiences.

Delivered through an application process, Go For Gold takes a transdisciplinary approach, integrating English & Humanities with Mathematics & Science. Students engage in challenging, real-world problems that require innovative, 21st-century thinking and solutions.

This program is ideal for students who are:

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Self-disciplined and motivated

  • Eager to work collaboratively on meaningful projects

  • Inspired by technology and real-world connections

Program Highlights:

  • Emphasis on teamwork with defined roles

  • Real-life, problem-solving projects

  • Use of technology to collaborate beyond the classroom

  • Encouragement of independent learning and initiative

All Year 7 and 8 students are welcome to apply. The program is limited to 56 places and is suited to students who thrive in hands-on, future-focused learning environments.​
