James Nash State High School is located in the Wide Bay region of Queensland and is serviced by the Department of Education's North Coast region. Set on the northern outskirts of Gympie, James Nash High was founded in 1977 and has a current enrolment of 1,100 students.
Our school is committed to:
- Empowering learners through student agency in the learning process
- Providing diverse opportunities for students to engage in schooling
- Ensuring our staff are experts in teaching and learning
- Providing meaningful pathways to work, training and further education
We measure our success when our students move beyond school into work and/or further study and pride ourselves on consistently outperforming both the state and region in these metrics. In doing so, we live up to our vision of 'empowered learners leading a life of choice'.
