All students are expected to be in full attendance at our athletics carnival. Our philosophy is that every day counts. School carnivals are an integral part of a broader educational experience and contribute to building school pride. There will be no alternative program held at school on this day.

Staff will have a commercial brand of sunscreen available and will be supplying this to students throughout the day.

The Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 24th June, during the regular school day. We will be holding the field events on Thursday 23rd June, participation for field events will be via approved nomination.
The 1500m and 3000m will run during lunch breaks in Week 10.

We strongly recommend that students bring a healthy food option for lunch and a drink bottle however, the tuckshop will be operational. Students are not permitted to leave the school at any time during the day. Parents need to call the school as per our standard requirements if you need to collect your child any earlier than the usual 3.05pm finish on the day.

We would like to encourage all students to be involved in the Athletics Carnival, consider the day's theme and to dress in their house colours (as listed in the Student Planner) and enjoy the fantastic team spirit at James Nash State High School.
